China Southern Airlines will add a new connection to China from the United Kingdom, as it will launch a new service between London and Wuhan starting on May 2018.

Starting May 30, China Southern will start its thrice-weekly flights between London-Heathrow and Wuhan in Hubei Province using an Airbus A330 aircraft.

“Adding Wuhan to our portfolio marks another important step in making parts of China beyond just Beijing and Shanghai more accessible,” said Nick Newman, commercial manager for China Southern Airlines, UK & Ireland.

The Guangzhou-based airline will be providing Wuhan with its seventh international airlink, as in recent years the city has seen flights to Paris, Moscow, San Francisco, Rome, Sydney, and St. Petersburg. For its own network, it will bring its European network to seven destinations.
