Low cost carrier AirAsia will be ending it’s flights to/from Auckland, New Zealand on February 11, 2019.

A spokesman said the decision to suspend services to Auckland was a ''difficult one,'' but was made as we look to realign our network to focus on core markets such as Australia, India, China and Japan. In a statement, the airline said: ''AirAsia thanks those guests who have flown with us over the past 2-1/2 years and apologises for any inconvenience caused.''

The route from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland via Gold Coast, Australia has been flown by the Malaysian based airline’s long haul arm AirAsia X since March 2016.
