If you usually take your seat on a plane with inflight entertainment systems, and just scroll to see what’s on the menu, Emirates has a solution for your wandering eye.

The Dubai-based carrier is allowing travelers the ability to create a playlist of entertainment options on its ICE platform via its Android and iOS mobile apps – before even boarding the plane.

Travelers could browse over the ICE system’s 4000 channels of on-demand entertainment options for flights on 100 of its Boeing 777 jets. The program will eventually be available on all the Emirates fleet over the next few months.

Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline said: “In keeping with our ‘Fly Better’ promise, our teams work tirelessly to provide ever better world-class travel experiences. Every detail is carefully considered as we continually enhance and develop innovative products and services for our customers. This latest functionality on the Emirates app elevates the customer experience even before they step onto the aircraft. Our customers can now browse the unmatched content on offer and create personal entertainment playlists at their leisure, and once comfortably settled in their seats on board, they simply sync and press play.”
