When flying, one would expect to have one seat when on a plane. China’s largest airline is introducing a new service that would allow one traveler to purchase multiple seats on their next flight.

First reported in China’s Xinhua News Service, China Southern is introducing its new service that will allow economy class travelers to purchase multiple seats on all international flights from Guangzhou. Travelers looking to purchase extra seats for themselves could do it while checking it at Guangzhou’s airport.

While the service will allow travelers with family members to get extra space or those who the space on long-haul flights, the service will not include extra perks such as more meals or additional baggage allowance.

After starting with flights from Guangzhou, China Southern is looking to expand the service on international flights from its other hubs at Beijing, Shanghai, and other cities in China.
