Cebu Pacific is currently facing some operational issues that has been indicated with the cancellation of some domestic flights from April 28-30. To start of the month of May, the Philippine low cost carrier announced additional cancellations in its efforts to “improve on time performance and reduce inconvenience to our passengers."

In total, 58 flights – mostly from Manila to domestic destinations – will be cancelled which the airline has described the conditions as “unprecedented levels of disruption.”

"To create space in our schedule for operational recovery, minimize rolling delays and give passengers the chance to make alternate travel plans, we have to temporarily reduce the number of our flights given the current operating conditions, particularly in our Manila hub," the airline said in a statement. The airline also addressed customers saying “We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused our passengers.”

While Cebu Pacific cancels these flights, the Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board has stated it will investigate the series of cancellations.
