China Southern is adding a new codeshare partnership with Finnair, set to take effect June 1.
The new codeshare partnership will open up connecting options for both Finnair and China Southern customers in Europe and China. Finnair customers will be able to make connections to domestic destinations in China on China Southern operated flights from Guangzhou to Changsha, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Sanya, Wenzhou, Xiamen, and Xi´an. From Europe, Finnair operates flights between Helsinki to Guangzhou.
For China Southern customers, travelers will be able to connect at Finnair's Helsinki hub to European cities such as Amsterdam, Billund, Copenhagen, Goteborg, London-Heathrow, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Riga, and Stockholm.

This codeshare opens up new destinations in China for our customers on the Helsinki-Guangzhou route, which we just extended to year-round operations. China is among our top markets globally, and we are delighted to be able to offer more destinations to our customers from Guangzhou onwards”, said Christian Lesjak, Senior Vice President, Network and resource management at Finnair. “During this summer, we operate up to 42 weekly flights between Greater China and Helsinki, including four flights to Guangzhou.”

China Southern will be Finnair's third China-based codeshare partner, after Juneyao Airlines and Air China. According to a statement from both airlines, the flights will go on sale today (May 21).
