Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines is launching new flights to European cities Dublin, Manchester, and Keflavik through its flights from Helsinki, Finland.

As Juneyao Airlines currently operates thrice-weekly services between Shanghai-Pudong and Helsinki, it will expand its presence using Fifth Freedrom routes from Helsinki to three European cities as it increases the frequency on the route to daily starting March 31.

The first of the three Fifth Freedom routes will be Manchester which will operate on a thrice-weekly schedule, while Dublin and Keflavik (Reykjavik) will operate twice-weekly. The new flights to Iceland's capital will be the first by a Chinese airline.

The Star Alliance connecting partner carrier will use its Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 324 seats (29 Business and 295 Economy), and travelers can book tickets on the intra-European flights to/from Helsinki.

As part of its international expansion, Juneyao Airlines has plans to add new European destinations including Athens and London by July 2020.
