This spring, China Eastern will be launching more international routes from Beijing-Daxing linking the new airport to Paris and Tokyo.

Starting March 29, the Shanghai-based airline will opendaily non-stop flights between Daxing and Paris-Charles de Gaulle and a separate flight to Tokyo-Haneda. The new flights will join the airline's current flights from Daxing to both Fukuoka, Japan and Da Nang, Vietnam.

The new international routes follow a shift of China Eastern's Beijing operations to Daxing where Chinese authorities have allocated around 30% of the available flight slots for the airline. Most of its flights serving the Beijing area have or currently are planned to operate out of Daxing with the exception of the Beijing-Shanghai route which will remain at Beijing-Capital.

China Eastern's planned flights to Paris and Tokyo come as the Daxing Airport - opened in September 2019 - is expected to welcome more foreign airlines who will launch additional flights to Beijing or shift their area operations to Daxing.

Along with major Chinese carriers such as China Southern and Air China, other airlines have opened up connections from Daxing to major cities such as Bangkok, Detroit, Helsinki, London, Hong Kong, Moscow, and Kuala Lumpur.

The airport is expected to welcome new international routes to Seattle (Delta Airlines-March 29), Macau (Air Macau-January 13), Warsaw (LOT Polish Airlines - January 15), Casablanca (January 16), Vladivostok (S7 Airlines - March).
