In its latest inventory of flights, Vietnam Airlines is closing bookings for its Hanoi-Sydney flights until March 2021 as it plans to operate a limited flight schedule during the month of August.

According to a report from Airlineroute, Vietnam Airlines closed bookings for the Sydney service until March 26, 2021. It intends to resume service on the route on a thrice-weekly basis on March 28, 2021 using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Limited Outbound Flights in August

Along with the suspension of bookings for the Hanoi-Sydney flights, the Hanoi-based carrier is planning to operate limited one-way flights on select international routes during the month of August after restricting most foreign arrivals in response to the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year.

On its website, Vietnam Airlines the airline has listed it will operate three one-way flights departing Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City during the month of August.

From Hanoi, the airline will operate twice-weekly services to Seoul while also operating a once-weekly flight to Frankfurt. The airline will also operate twice-weekly flights between Ho Chi Minh to Seoul.

As all other regularly scheduled international services remain suspended, the airline advises its flight schedules could change due to government restrictions.

While it has suspended much of its scheduled international flights, the airline has conducted repatriation flights for returning Vietnamese nationals and foreign nationals in Vietnam.
