As part of its recovery plan, Vietnam Airlines is planning to resume scheduled international flights with one-way trips to Japan.

In a new update on its flight schedules on September 10, Vietnam Airlines will operate six total flights to Tokyo-Narita – four from Hanoi and twice from Ho Chi Minh City. The flights from Hanoi will operate on September 18, 23, 25, and 30. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City will depart on September 25 and 30. Both routes will use Boeing 787 aircraft.

The resumption of scheduled flights to Tokyo is aimed at catering to passengers traveling for work or school in Japan, while the return flights from Japan to Vietnam are pending an official government decision.

Flights to Seoul, Europe

Along with the flights to Tokyo, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate flights to the following cities this month (September) and October: Seoul, Frankfurt, Paris, and London.

During the next two months, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate 6 flights from Hanoi to Seoul-Incheon. The schedule will see departures starting on September 16, followed by flights on September 25. For October, the Hanoi-Seoul flights will operate on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd.

For its limited flights to Europe, the airline will operate two flights to Frankfurt (September 23/October 1), and one each for Paris (September 23) and London (October 1).

All flights will operate on a one-way basis as Vietnam still has entry restrictions for foreign travelers.
