As it gradually resumes flights throughout its network in Southeast Asia, Jetstar Asia is resuming onboard catering.

Since Tuesday (December 8), the Singapore-based budget airline has resumed serving pre-ordered food and beverages onboard flights purchased via the website. On December 21, the airline will extend onboard catering services to include onboard purchases of meals, drinks and snacks and allow the use of inflight vouchers.

According to Jetstar Asia’s Commercial Lead Clive Ashmore Butler, the resumption of inflight services is another step in the airline's recovery.

“We know our customers love our low fares and the ability to choose food and beverage options that suit their needs,” Butler said in a statement. He added: “Enjoying a wide selection of delicious beverages, snacks and quality meals on board is part of the travel experience and are often key factors determining customer satisfaction.”

With the resumption of inflight catering services, Jetstar Asia will introduce initiatives as part of its Fly Well program to shift to a “cashless cabin.” Jetstar Asia passengers will soon be able to make onboard purchases using vouchers and/or cards.

The airline further states that customers can download the inflight menu on the airline group's website ( or scan OR codes at check-in or the boarding gates.
