In anticipation of the reopening of quarantine-free travel between Australia and Singapore, Jetstar Asia announced plans to launch flights between Singapore and Perth in 2022.

Pending Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) approval, the planned Singapore-Perth service will start on February 12, 2022 and will operate on a four-times weekly schedule.

The start of services to Perth aims to meet the travel demand between both cities. Jetstar noted that prior to the pandemic, travelers from Singapore made up the largest group of visitors to Perth. The airline also noted the presence of Singaporeans who live in Western Australia.

“Perth has always been an incredibly popular destination for Singaporeans, one that they would return to time and again,” Jetstar Asia’s Head of Commercial, Clive Ashmore Butler said in a statement.

Bookings for Jetstar Asia's flights to Perth are now open along with the airline's other Australian destinations of Darwin and Melbourne. VTL services to the two cities are scheduled to start in December.
