After a two year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AirAsia announced the resumption of its Cadet Pilot Program in Malaysia.
“I’m thrilled to announce that we’re restarting our Cadet Pilot Programme after two long years, and it comes at a special time for us. As we slowly resume operating at full capacity, we see a surge in demand for travel like never before. As our aircraft count grows to accommodate this demand, we will undoubtedly be looking to expand our family of pilots,” said Riad Asmat, CEO, AirAsia Malaysia.
First started in 2004. AirAsia's Cadet Pilot Program is a 24-month long course curated to equip future pilots with the training and credentials to become “captains of the skies.”
Applicants for AirAsia's Cadet Pilot Program are required to meet requirements including having Malaysian citizenship, be between the age of 18 and 28 at the time of application, be physically fit, and have a good written and spoken command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
