AirAsia Thailand will resume flights between Bangkok and Colombo, Sri Lanka this summer.
From July 9, the Bangkok-based AirAsia carrier will reconnect Bangkok-Don Mueang and Colombo with four weekly flights.
“Prior to Covid, AirAsia operated out of Colombo International Airport for close to 10 years with the popular Kuala Lumpur-Colombo route which is now well known in the market,” said Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO, AirAsia Thailand.
Santisuk added: “We are confident these new services will continue to be well received when we restart services later this year, ahead of the peak travel seasons and with more investment in promotional activity in Sri Lanka to strengthen the brand and attract even more Sri Lankans to fly with AirAsia.”
