Indian budget carrier IndiGo has announced new connections between India and the Middle East, new flights from Kolkata.

According to IndiGo, the new routes to be introduced include Bengaluru-Dubai, Kochi-Bahrain, Lucknow-Damman which will start on June 1. The airline will also add a new route between Ahmedabad and Jeddah from August 11.

In addition, seasonal flights have been announced to meet the demand of the summer travel season between Chennai-Dammam and Kochi-Dammam.

IndiGo will be the first Indian carrier to operate direct flights between Bengaluru-Dubai, Kochi-Bahrain; and the only airline to provide daily direct connectivity between Kochi-Dammam, Lucknow-Dammam, Chennai-Dammam and Ahmedabad-Jeddah.

IndiGo provides connections to 11 destinations in the Middle East including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Ras Al Khaimah, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Muscat. The addition of these new flights will add capacity and enhance accessibility for travellers to and from the Middle East during the summer holidays.

Regional Route Expansion from Kolkata

From Kolkata, IndiGo announced five new flights and additional flight frequencies.

From June 3, the airline will start flights to Bangkok while adding new flights to Surat, Hyderabad on July 3.

IndiGo will add more flight frequencies from Kolkata to Bengaluru and Goa from June 26.

IndiGo operates over 116 daily non-stop flights between Kolkata and 47 destinations including 42 in India and 5 overseas.
