Qatar Airways has announced a new codeshare partnership with Xiamen Airlines – the first Chinese carrier to launch nonstop flights from Mainland China to Qatar.

As part of the agreement, Xiamen Airlines will launch daily flights between Beijing-Daxing and Doha from October 20 using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. According to Qatar Airways, the evening arrival at Doha and the early morning departure will offer passengers connections to key markets on Qatar Airways network from Doha to the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

In addition to the flights from Beijing, Xiamen Airlines will also launch two weekly flights between Xiamen and Doha on October 31. Xiamen Airlines will use Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

On both routes, Qatar Airways will codeshare on the new flights which will enhance its network in Mainland China. The airline's network in the country covers 6 destinations with a total of 31 weekly flights along with twice-daily flights to Hong Kong. Xiamen Airlines will place its marketing code on the Qatar Airways flights to/from Beijing.
