The “Narita Transit Program” for passengers at Narita Airport began with the objective of revitalizing the region around the airport and encouraging passengers to visit Japan again. To attract further increases in the number of visitors to Japan, from 1 April this year, we have upgraded the “Narita Transit Program” into the “Narita Airport Transit & Stay Program”, extending the offer to include foreign travelers staying in accommodation around Narita Airport as well.

With the launch of this new program, we have developed additional tours such as the “Welcome Narita Select Bus Tour” using scheduled sightseeing bus tours, which are easier to join for foreign visitors. We are also distributing “Time Out Tokyo - 50 Things to Do in Narita”, a guide map introducing local tourist attractions
around the airport.

Looking ahead to 2020, Narita Airport will work closely with its surrounding communities to offer improved tours and step up its promotional activities.
