Philippine Airlines to increase flights to the US, Canada

Philippine Airlines will expand its services in North America with more flights to Vancouver, Toronto, and New York before the year’s end. The A350-1000 will also be operated on the Philippine flag carrier’s flights between Manila and San Francisco by the fall.

The additional flights to the three cities will start during November and December. Philippine Airlines will increase its flights on the Manila-Vancouver route from daily to 10-times weekly from November 17, and from 3 to 4-times weekly flights on the Manila-Toronto route from December 5.

Between Manila and New York JFK, Philippine Airlines will increase its flights on the route from 3 to 4-times weekly from December 2. A fifth weekly flight will be added between December and January 2027.

Airbus A350-900 aircraft will be used on the additional flights to Toronto and New York before a shift to the A350-1000 as more aircraft are delivered.

Separately, A350-1000 aircraft will also be deployed on the Manila-San Francisco route starting in August 2026. The use of the larger variant of the A350 will provide more premium seats and strengthen the airline’s competitiveness at the US West Coast.

The additional flights to North America will improve connectivity via Manila to key destinations across Southeast Asia including Jakarta, Denpasar (Bali), Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hanoi. Customers can also enjoy US domestic connections through Philippine Airlines’ North America-based partners American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet.

Additional cargo capacity to support growing trade, e-commerce, and high-value shipments between the Philippines and North America will also be supported by the service increases.

Ahead of the winter season, Philippine Airlines will also launch its highly anticipated, new route between Manila and Chicago with three weekly flights starting November 9.

With eight destinations in the US and Canada (Guam, Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, Vancouver, Toronto), Philippine Airlines currently has the strongest network by a Southeast Asia-based airline to the two North American countries.
