As part of a planned restructure of its brand strategy, All Nippon Airways' (ANA) parent company – ANA Group – will suspend its AirJapan (NQ) brand and reallocate its resources – including aircraft and employees – into ANA.

Citing the global environment – including the prolonged war in Ukraine - and aircraft delivery delays, ANA stated the move to shift from its multi-brand strategy featuring ANA, hybrid airline AirJapan, and budget carrier Peach Aviation to a dual-brand strategy comprising of ANA and Peach is aimed to maximize the entire group's profitability and competitiveness while “flexibly responding to recent changes in the business environment.”

According to ANA Group, the operations of the AirJapan brand will be suspended during the fiscal year 2026 – ending by the end of March 2026. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft currently used by AirJapan will be shifted back to ANA. The operating company AirJapan – which manages flights for both ANA and AirJapan brands – will continue to contribute to ANA Group's international business by operating ANA brand international flights.

The final AirJapan flight is scheduled to depart Singapore bound for Tokyo Narita as NQ004 on March 29, 2026.

First launched in 2001 as Air Japan, AirJapan was rebranded to a hybrid airline in 2024. The airline operates flights from Narita to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Seoul Incheon, and Singapore.
