Just over a year after it made its return to Manila, it has been reported that Air France will suspend its direct flights to the Philippine capital city from Paris during the summer season.

According to data reported by aeroroutes on December 19, Air France's thrice-weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Manila will not be operated between May 4 through October 12, 2026. The airline uses Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the direct Paris-Manila flights, which has a flight time of around 14 hours each way.

The outbound flight – AF224 – departs Paris every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday at 2320H before arriving in Manila at 1845H the following day. The return flight – AF223 – departs Manila every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 2055H and arrives back at Paris at 0550H the following morning.

Relaunched on December 7, 2024, Air France's direct Paris-Manila route marked the French airline's return to the Philippines after an absence of over 20 years. The route was the first direct connection launched between Europe and the Philippines after the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Air France will suspend its Paris-Manila flights, the Air France-KLM Group will maintain its presence in Manila with KLM's four-times weekly flights from Amsterdam. KLM's Amsterdam-Manila flights makes a technical stop in Taipei Taoyuan Airport between both cities.
