AirAsia will launch a new route connecting Johor Bahru and Kunming, China.


From December 14, AirAsia Malaysia (AK) will operate three weekly flights from (outbound – Sunday, Monday, Wednesday/inbound – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) between Johor Bahru and Kunming.


By the end of the year, AirAsia will operate flights on 21 routes to 13 cities across Mainland China.


The airline currently operates 14 weekly flights to Kunming from Kuala Lumpur. 


With the addition of the new route to Kunming, AirAsia continues to grow its hub at Johor Bahru. From Johor, the airline currently operates flights on two international routes (Guangzhou Baiyun and Ho Chi Minh City), along with domestic flights to Kuala Lumpur, Alor Setar, Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi, Miri, Penang, Sibu, and Tawau.
