Airbus has taken on new orders from two China-based carriers – Juneyao Airlines and Spring Airlines – for a total of 55 A320 Family aircraft.
Airbus has taken on new orders from two China-based carriers – Juneyao Airlines and Spring Airlines – for a total of 55 A320 Family aircraft.
Both new aircraft orders were announced in separate stock filings by each Shanghai-based carriers. Budget carrier Spring Airlines plans to take on 30 A320neo aircraft which are scheduled for delivery between 2028 through 2032.
Juneyao Airlines plans to take on 25 A320 Family aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to take place during the same time period of the Spring Airlines' order.
Subject to government approvals, both aircraft orders are worth around USD $8 billion combined.
For Spring Airlines, the new order will add to its fleet of over 100 A320/A321 aircraft which includes over 40 A320neo and 12 A321neo.
Within its fleet of over 100 aircraft, Juneyao Airlines' fleet includes over 90 A320/A321 aircraft. In addition to the narrowbody Airbus jets, Juneyao Airlines also operates 10 widebody Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
