Asiana Airlines will be aligning its aircraft seat numbering system to be in-line with Korean Air ahead of the planned integration of the two airlines before year's end.
The South Korean carrier's revised system will be applied to all domestic and international flights operating between December 14 and 17, followed by the full implementation starting December 18.
On all aircraft except the Airbus A380, Business Class seat row numbers will start at Row 7 from Row 1. Economy Class seats will start at Row 28 from Row 10.
For the A380, all rows will remain unchanged except for the Economy Class seats in the lower deck to Row 28 from Row 30.

In its advisory, Asiana noted that passengers with pre-assigned seat numbers may be changed due the seat numbering update. However, the actual seat location will remain the same.
The move is part of the formal merger procedures of Korean Air and Asiana.
