Travelers departing from Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport on international flights will soon be able to use automated immigration gates anytime during the day.

Following the start of installation and a trial period conducted in mid-February, Don Mueang Airport's new Automated Border Control (ABC) passport gates will be open 24 hours for eligible passengers starting Thursday (March 5).

The passport gates are currently operating between 7AM to 7PM daily. All 31 passport gates across the airport are expected to be fully installed by April.

Aimed at reducing queues and enhancing the passenger experience, passengers using the automated passport gates must be at least 120 centimeters tall and have a passport validity of at least six months. New passports must be at least 14 days old before using the gates. Carry-on bags must not exceed 120 centimeters in height including extended pull-handles.

Pregnant women and passengers who need a passport stamp are advised to use the manual immigration gates.

One of the two Bangkok-area air hubs, Don Mueang Airport has been the primary hub of budget airlines to/from the city.
