Cathay Pacific is suspending its flights from Hong Kong to both Dubai and Riyadh through March 14.
“In view of the developing situation in the Middle East, all Cathay Pacific flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh from 28 February up to and including Saturday, 14 March have been cancelled.”
Customers booked on the airline's flights on the Hong Kong-Dubai and Hong Kong-Riyadh routes during the period up to March 14 may rebook, reroute, or refund their tickets without the usual fees.
Those who booked through a travel agent or third-party website are advised to contact them directly to update their travel plans or request a refund.
“We’re continuing to monitor the situation closely. Further changes to our flight schedule may be needed in the coming days with the safety of our customers and people being our first priority.”
The airline concluded its statement saying: “We sincerely appreciate our customers’ understanding during this time.”
