Cathay Pacific will resume its seasonal service this winter (Northern Winter/Southern Summer) to Adelaide, Australia.
Between November 11 and March 27, 2026, Cathay Pacific will operate three weekly flights (outbound – Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday/inbound – Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday) from Hong Kong and Adelaide. The airline will use its widebody Airbus A350-900 aircraft with three cabin classes - Business (fully flat seats), Premium Economy, and Economy.
In a statement, Cathay said: “The three-times-weekly winter seasonal service resumes an important connection between the airline’s home hub and the South Australian capital, providing more choices for customers travelling between Hong Kong, the Southwest Pacific and beyond.”
Cathay Pacific first launched flights to Adelaide – the capital of Southern Australia – in 1992. The Hong Kong-based airline has since sent groups of pilot trainee candidates to the city as part of its pilot training program.
With the addition of the seasonal service to Adelaide this winter, Cathay Pacific will operate around 90 return flights per week to eight destinations in Australia/New Zealand – Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney along with seasonal services to Cairns and Christchurch.
The seasonal flights will also provide additional cargo capacity on the route which is served by Cathay Cargo.
