With the additional aircraft, China Airlines will take its total order for the -1000 to 15. The aircraft will join the airline's existing fleet of 15 A350-900s flying on long-haul route networks.

China Airlines previously placed an order for 10 A350-1000s back in March 2025. Deliveries for that aircraft order is scheduled to start in 2029.
