EVA Air will deploy its widebody Airbus A330-300 aircraft on its flights from the Southern Taiwanese city of Kaoshiung to three cities – Tokyo, Macao, and Shanghai. The airline will also use an A321 featuring a special pink Hello Kitty livery on its flights from Kaoshiung to Seoul.
Citing the response of southern passengers and the long-term layout of the southern market, from May 20 EVA Air's A330-300s will be use on its flights from Kaoshiung to Tokyo Narita, Macao, and Shanghai Pudong. The airline's Hello Kitty themed “Pinky Jet” A321 (registered B-16217) will be deployed daily on the Kaoshiung-Seoul Incheon route from April 30.
“EVA Air has been cultivating the southern market for a long time and continues to build Kaohsiung as the second operating hub. This time, Airbus A330-300 broad-body passenger aircraft will be put on Kaohsiung flights, each flight will provide 309 seats, which will increase the number of 125 seats compared with the current A321-200 models, which will not only enhance the passenger experience, but also hope to promote the development of southern tourists.”
From its southern hub at Kaoshiung, EVA Air operates 56 weekly flights to seven international destinations – Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Fukuoka, Shanghai Pudong, Macao, Hong Kong, and Seoul Incheon.
