Emirates has announced it will introduce a second daily flight to Tokyo Narita this summer.
From May 1, the second daily Dubai-Narita flight will depart Dubai as EK320 at 2230H and arrive at Narita at 1330H the following afternoon. The return flight – EK321 - will depart Narita later in the evening at 2130H before arriving back at Dubai at 0350H the following morning.
The new flights will use Emirates' retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
According to Emirates, the second daily flight will support stronger domestic connectivity within Japan from Narita, and offer shorter connection times from key European and Middle Eastern markets. The return flight's early morning arrival in Dubai enables onward connections to destinations across Europe, Africa, and South America including Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Brazil.
Emirates currently operates a total of three daily flights (one each) to the two Tokyo area hubs – Narita and Haneda – and Osaka (Kansai) with a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft.
With the additional daily service to Narita, Emirates will operate a combined 28 weekly flights with 22,500 weekly seats to/from Japan from May 1.
