Etihad has taken delivery of the first of 30 Airbus A321LR.
The delivery of the first A321LR is part of Etihad's plans to launch a total of 27 new routes in a single year. The aircraft is scheduled to enter commercial service on August 1 on flights between Abu Dhabi and Phuket. Services using the A321LR will then be expanded to other destinations including Algiers, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Kolkata, Krabi, Krakow, Medan, Milan, Paris, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Tunis and Zurich.
Etihad's new A321LR features 160 seats in a three-class configuration which will include the airline's first private First Suites with fully-flat beds on a narrowbody aircraft. In addition, the A321LR also has 14 seats in Business and 144 in Economy. Each seat has a 4K screen, and inflight Wi-Fi.

According to Etihad, the airline expects to take delivery of 9 A321LR aircraft throughout 2025. Within its current fleet, Etihad operates a fleet of 16 A321 aircraft.
