Etihad has announced it will add Damascus, Syria to its network from June 2026.
The Abu Dhabi, UAE-based carrier stated it will launch the new Abu Dhabi-Damascus route with four weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) from June 12, 2026. Etihad will use its Airbus A320 aircraft with 158 seats (8 Business and 150 Economy) to the airline's latest destination in the Middle East.
In a statement, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer Antonoaldo Neves said: “This new route reflects our commitment to connecting people to the places that matter most to them. We are proud to expand our network into Damascus – one of the world’s most historic and culturally important cities – and to support the Syrian population with direct links to and from Abu Dhabi, as well as convenient onward connections across our global network.”
Damascus will be Etihad's 28th new destination to be announced by the airline within the last year.
