Following the launch of its new route from Mumbai to Tbilisi, Georgia, IndiGo announced an expansion to Central Asia with new routes from Mumbai to Tashkent, Uzbekistan; and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Following the launch of its new route from Mumbai to Tbilisi, Georgia, IndiGo announced an expansion to Central Asia with new routes from Mumbai to Tashkent, Uzbekistan; and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
IndiGo stated the launch of the new routes will take place during the start of September, with Mumbai-Tashkent on September 1 followed by Mumbai-Almaty on September 2. IndiGo will operate four-weekly flights each on the two routes (Mumbai-Tashkent: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; Mumbai-Almaty: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday for the outbound, and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday for the return).
The new routes will build upon IndiGo's services to Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi which the airline has operated flights from Delhi since 2023. Recently, IndiGo launched flights from Mumbai to Tbilisi on August 2.
