IndiGo is expanding its network in Central Asia with the addition of new routes to Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Tbilisi (Georgia) from Mumbai.
Starting July 1, IndiGo will launch its four-times weekly service between Mumbai and Almaty, followed by four-times weekly flights to Tashkent (August 1) and thrice-weekly to Tbilisi (August 2).
The new routes will add to IndiGo's flights to the three cities from Delhi, providing more travel options between India and the growing markets of Central Asia.
"Building on the success of our Delhi – Central Asia routes, we are extremely pleased to announce direct flights to Almaty, Tashkent and Tbilisi from Mumbai, reinforcing our commitment to connecting India to the world,” said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo. “These routes will further enhance accessibility to these culturally rich destinations, fostering global connections and enriching tourism.”
IndiGo will compete with Kazakhstan's Air Astana between Mumbai and Almaty and Uzbekistan Airways to Tashkent. The new Mumbai-Tbilisi route will be the first air route connecting the two cities.
