Korean Air will open what will be the airline's largest overseas lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this upcoming March 6.
As part of Korean Air's ongoing investments to enhance customer experiences, the newly renovated, next-generation lounge at LAX's Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) was designed by Singapore-based hospitality firm LTW Designworks. The airline has invested KRW 65 billion (~USD $44.768 million) for the 22-month renovation work at the LAX lounge.
Located on the upper levels of the TBIT, the renovated lounge covers 1,675 square meters on two floors – the First Class Lounge on the 6th floor and the Miler Club & Prestige Lounge on the 5th floor. The lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony terrace with panoramic views of the airport interior.

Combined, the lounge is 1.27 times larger than the previous facility, making it the largest overseas lounge operated directly by Korean Air. Inside, the First Class lounge features two private suites, an a la carte fine-dining service with made-to-order dishes, and a full-service bar. The Miler Club and Prestige Class Lounges also offer an open-kitchen live station concept. Dedicated business areas, family seating spaces, and premium showers can also be found in the facility.
LAX serves as Korean Air's primary gateway in North America and a key hub connecting Asia, the US, and Latin America. Eligible Korean Air passengers and premium customers traveling with SkyTeam partner carriers will be able to access the lounge.
“With the opening of this flagship lounge, Korean Air will further elevate its presence at LAX while delivering a more refined and differentiated premium travel experience,” said David Pacey, Executive Vice President and Chief of In-flight Service and Lounges at Korean Air. “We will continue to invest in our services and infrastructure to exceed the expectations of our global customers.”
After the opening of the LAX lounge, Korean Air plans to unveil its renovated lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) later this year.
