In a notice posted on Korean Air's website on November 19, Korean Air will operate the additional daily service – KE8053/KE8054 - between December 1 and 31. The outbound flight will depart Incheon at 2235H and arrive at Honolulu the following morning at 1120H. The return flight will depart Honolulu at 1320H at arrive at 1925H.
According to aeroroutes, Korean Air will use Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the first inbound/outbound flight (December 1/December 2). All remaining flights will use Boeing 747-8i aircraft.
Combined, the merged Korean Air and Asiana Airlines operates a total of three daily flights between Incheon and Honolulu. Korean Air's current daily service – KE053/KE054 – uses Boeing 787-10 aircraft, while Asiana flights OZ232/OZ231 uses Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
