The Kuala Lumpur-based MAG reported the first pilgrimage flight operated by Amal for the 2025 Hajj season took place on April 29. According to MAG, the 110 pilgrimage flights will be split between two phases and serve a combined total of 15,620 pilgrims. The first phase will consist of 55 flights to transport pilgrims from Malaysia to the two cities in Saudi Arabia, while the other 55 flights will be for return flights back to Malaysia between June 14 through July 10.
MAG further stated that feeder flights to Kuala Lumpur will be provided from cities including Alor Star, Penang, Kota Bahru, Johor Bahru, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuala Terengganu.
Launched in 2019, Amal operates regular and charter flights using MAG A330-300 aircraft with 284 seats. The inflight amenities and services are curated for those taking part in the Muslim pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah, including talbiah and miqat announcements, azan (call to prayer), and tazkirah (sermons).
