Ahead of the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year holiday period, the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) announced the addition of nearly 200 flights to be operated by Malaysia Airlines and Firefly during mid/late February.
Ahead of the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year holiday period, the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) announced the addition of nearly 200 flights to be operated by Malaysia Airlines and Firefly during mid/late February.
Between February 11 and 23, Malaysia Airlines will add 130 addition flights while Firefly will operate 68 more flights between February 13 and 23. Combined, the MAG carriers will operate a total of 2,460 flights during the travel period – 1,498 by Malaysia Airlines and 962 by Firefly.
According to the MAG, the expanded operations will support key domestic routes between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, including Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, and Sandakan.
The airline will support the Malaysian government's festive travel initiatives offering subsidized fares from Kuala Lumpur to select East Malaysia destinations during the peak period between February 13 and 16.
