Malaysia Airlines, Firefly to operate additional flights during Ramadan, Hari Raya Aidilfitri

During the upcoming Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid al-Fitr) peak travel periods, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will operate more than 2,700 domestic flights.



During the upcoming Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid al-Fitr) peak travel periods, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will operate more than 2,700 domestic flights.


The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) announced that Malaysia Airlines will operate the majority of the flights during the period with up to 1,557 while Firefly will provide 1,176 connecting key destinations across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.


To meet strong demand, Malaysia Airlines will upgrade aircraft on high-traffic routes including Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Terengganu, Miri, Kuching, Tawau, Sandakan, and Kota Kinabalu. The airline will also operate red-eye flights to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Kuching.
