Malaysia Airlines is introducing new features to its Enrich frequent flier program which will allow members to carry forward excess elite qualification points to the next year, and get rewards after reaching base point milestones.

The Kuala Lumpur-based carrier announced the first of the two features – the Tier Carry Forward benefit – which will allow Enrich Elite members (Silver/Gold/Platinum) to carry over excess points of required qualification for renewal or upgrade of tier status to be carried over to the next calendar year. Enrich will roll over excess Elite Points up to 50% of re-qualification requirement.

Eligibility for Tier Carry Forward will be based on the Enrich Member's tier and the credited Elite Points as of December 31 of each calendar year.

According to Malaysia Airlines, Enrich is the first loyalty program in Asia to offer the feature.

The other feature introduced for Enrich members is a Mid-Tier Booster which will provide rewards upon reaching certain Base Points milestones. Depending on tier status, upon reaching specified milestones awards include bonus Enrich /Elite points, or complementary Golden Lounge access.
