During the first month of the year (January 2026), Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) set a new monthly passenger traffic record of 4.96 million.


NAIA's busy month of January 2026 exceeded the previous record set the month in December 2025 of around 4.86 million. Passenger traffic growth followed a strong holiday period from December 20 to January 4, when the airport served nearly 2.6 million passengers across all terminals. The airport also recorded its highest single-day passenger traffic record of 180,089 passengers on January 4.


International travel at NAIA continued to drive growth with 2.42 million international passengers in January – an increase of 8.16% from the previous year and the highest monthly international passenger traffic in the airport's history. Domestic passenger traffic saw a 3.16% year-on-year increase to 2.54 million.


Airport operator New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) reported the highest annual passenger traffic record at NAIA of over 52 million passengers served in 2025.
