The 5th floor of the Central Building at Narita International Airport Terminal 1 will be reopened as a new attraction named "SHIKISAI GARDEN -Seasonal colors-" on April 9.
After being closed for around a year since last April, the airport operator Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) stated the renovated facilities will include the Observation Deck which will now feature a “Garden Walk” with greenery overlooking the airside.

The facility will feature an entrance featuring Bamboo handicraft “Ring of Sky” by Tanabe Chikuunsai, and digital art work also with a Bamboo motiff.
At the relaxation area, three seating options are available which will allow visitors to experience Japanese-style relaxation before departure including a Tea Room, Living Room, and Calligraphy Room.

The 5thfloor facilities will also have a food court and play area for children for a fee.

Regarding the design selection for the renovated 5thfloor facilities, NAA said: “This area was designed under the theme of "Abundant water and the changing four seasons that nurture Japan's culture and spirituality." The vast area showing a water flow and changes in the four seasons enables customers to relax while feeling the atmosphere of Japan.”
Individual shops will operate starting with their own operating hours.
