Oman Air has officially been welcomed by the oneworld alliance as its 15th and newest member airline.

Starting today (July 1), oneworld customers can access an extended network of destinations across Oman Air's network particularly across the Gulf and South Asia. Among the new routes customers will be able to access include Oman Air's new Muscat-Amsterdam service.
Oman Air will provide oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby customers with benefits including earning and redeeming miles, earning status points, priority check-in and boarding and lounge access. The airline's premium fliers will gain access to oneworld priority benefits including a network of around 700 premium airport lounges around the world.

From its hub at Muscat, Oman, Oman Air's network covers 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories.
With the addition of Oman Air, oneworld alliance now has 15 member airlines. The national airline of Oman joins the global network of airlines that includes Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and SriLankan Airlines. The oneworld alliance has more than 20 affiliate airlines.
