Oman Air will expand its services to Southeast Asia with a new route to Singapore.
Oman Air will expand its services to Southeast Asia with a new route to Singapore by next summer.
Announced by Oman Air and the Changi Airport Group (CAG), the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman will launch the new route connecting Muscat and Singapore on July 2, 2026. Using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, Oman Air will operate four weekly flights (Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) between the two cities.
According to Oman Air, the new route will open up access to Oman and onward connections across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With Oman Air's oneworld alliance membership, the new route also taps into key traffic flows via member airlines including Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
“We’re excited to launch this new route, which enhances our growing network and strengthens the connection between Oman and Singapore,” said Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer, Oman Air. “With demand growing for distinctive destinations and high-quality travel experiences, this service expands choice for both leisure and business travellers. It also reinforces Muscat’s role as an important hub between East and West, enabling efficient connectivity between Asia-Pacific markets and Europe complemented by our oneworld partners.”
Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President of Air Hub and Cargo Development at Changi Airport added, “Oman Air's new direct service to Muscat will introduce an exciting city link to Changi Airport's wide connectivity network. As a leading global hub, Changi Airport offers travellers access to a wide range of destinations across Asia-Pacific and beyond, while creating new travel opportunities between the two markets.”
Singapore will be Oman Air's sixth destination in Southeast Asia. The airline currently operates flights to Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
The new service will be the latest addition to the direct air links to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations from Singapore. From Changi Airport, direct flights to the region include services to Dubai (Emirates and Singapore Airlines), Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Doha (Qatar Airways), Bahrain (Gulf Air), and Jeddah (Saudia and Scoot).
