Oman Air is expanding its network into Central Asia with a new route between Muscat and Tashkent, Uzbekistan starting June 1.


According to Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman will operate two weekly flights on the Muscat-Tashkent route. The flight time will be around 4 hours each way.


“Central Asia represents a region of increasing relevance for both inbound and outbound travel, and the new service is designed to support Oman’s broader tourism ambitions by attracting visitors from Uzbekistan and the wider region,” Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air.


Tashkent will be the eighth new destination Oman Air has announced that will be added to its network since December. Other destinations announced since December include Sochi (Russia) from July 2, Dubai and Salalah from July 3, Kigali (Rwanda) from June, and Singapore from July 2.
