Oman Air will boost its services to Russia with a new direct route from Muscat to Sochi starting July 2.
From Muscat, Oman Air will operate two weekly flights to Sochi – known as the “Russian Riviera” - using Boeing 737-8 (737 MAX 8) aircraft.
The new Muscat-Sochi route will expand Oman Air's network in Russia and respond to the growing demand for Russian travellers visiting Oman. Oman Air currently operates up to 11 weekly flights to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, along with charter flights between Moscow and Salalah launched last December 2025.
“Our network continues to evolve as we identify opportunities to connect Oman with high-potential markets,” said Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air. “The launch of Sochi builds on the strong performance of our Moscow services and reflects growing point-to-point demand between Russia and Oman. By expanding access to Oman through strategically added destinations, we are actively supporting tourism growth and contributing to Oman’s broader economic diversification goals.”
