Philippine Airlines will bring back its widebody Airbus A330 aircraft to Puerto Princesa this upcoming week.


The Philippine flag carrier will operate the A330-300 on three days weekly on the daily morning flights (PR1781/PR1782) between Manila and Puerto Princesa starting December 17. The outbound flight – currently using smaller Airbus A321 aircraft - is scheduled to depart Manila at 0530H and arrive at Puerto Princesa at 0700H. The return flight will depart at 0810H and arrive back at Manila at 1000H.


The airline's three other daily flights between Manila and Puerto Princesa uses A320 aircraft.


Philippine Airlines' A330-300s that will be used on the flights have 363 seats featuring 18 Business, 33 Comfort Class, and 312 Economy seats. In addition to the capacity boost, the A330 will boost cargo capacity on the route.


“Utilizing our widebody fleet on flights to Puerto Princesa will enhance operational efficiency, improve overall customer satisfaction, and also provide Palawan residents more opportunities to explore the Philippines and the rest of the world,” said Capt. Roland Narciso, Senior Vice President for Operations Group, Philippine Airlines. “We have been working closely with airport authorities for a smooth transition to widebody operations in Puerto Princesa.”


In addition to its international network, domestic destinations that see the use of Philippine Airlines' A330 and other widebody aircraft such as the A350 include Cebu, Davao, and General Santos.
