Ahead of the upcoming year-end peak travel season, Philippine Airlines has announced increases in flights to select cities from Manila including Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Legazpi, Dumaguete, and Tacloban. The airline will also bring its widebody Airbus A330 aircraft to Iloilo.

From October, the Manila, Philippines-based carrier will add flights on select domestic routes from Manila to Butuan (14 to 21 times weekly), Cagayan de Oro (35 to 42 times weekly), Cotabato (11 to 14 times weekly), Legazpi (21 to 28 times weekly), Dumaguete (14 to 18 times weekly), and Tacloban (21 to 25 times weekly).
Between December 8 through March 28, 2026, Philippine Airlines will upgrade five of its flights between Manila and Iloilo with the A330.
“By expanding our domestic flight route network through increased frequency of flights, we are able to efficiently cater to the needs of travelers. These additional flights and greater seat capacity reflect PAL’s commitment to increase connectivity across the archipelago, boost the local economy, and help drive tourism across our network,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.
Services to Other Destinations
Philippine Airlines noted that travelers bound for Siargao will be able to take its daily Manila-Siargao service. Travelers can also connect via Cebu where it operates 21 weekly flightts, or from Clark with its daily flights to the popular resort island destination.
Boracay (Caticlan) will be served with 42 weekly flights on the Manila-Caticlan routes, and 14 weekly from Cebu.
Travelers bound for Coron (Busuanga) will be able to take the seven-times weekly service from Manila, x14 weekly from Clark, or the x21 weekly services from Cebu.
Philippine Airlines will operate three weekly flights between Manila and Antique, and four-times between Manila and Catarman.
Combined, Philippine Airlines reports it will operate 1,154 weekly flights from Manila to destinations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao during the upcoming peak season. With a weekly capacity increase of over 14,000 seats from Manila, Philippine Airlines will increase its flights from the its main hub by 7%.
