Philippine Airlines completes first A350-1000 flight to Cebu

Philippine Airlines' new Airbus A350-1000 recently completed its first flight to the central Philippine city of Cebu.


The Philippine flag carrier's one-time roundtrip flight between Manila and the Mactan Cebu Airport using the A350-1000 registered RP-C3510 took place on March 12. The outbound flight PR1849 departed Manila at around 1020H before arriving before noon local time (PhST). The return flight PR1850 departed Cebu around 1400H before arriving back at Manila over an hour later.


Since taking delivery of the first A350-1000 in late December, Philippine Airlines has deployed the widebody aircraft on flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The airline has also already used the widebody jet on long-haul flights between Manila and New York JFK.

Cebu is the second domestic destination Philippine Airlines has used the A350-1000 on. During the previous week, the airline also operated a one-time roundtrip flight between Manila and Davao on March 5.


With a sticker commemorating Philippine Airlines' 85thanniversary celebration during the year 2026, the A350-1000 features a tri-class cabin with 382 seats – 42 private suites in Business, 24 Premium Economy, and 316 in Economy. The aircraft is equipped with two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.

Philippine Airlines has nine A350-1000s on order, with an additional purchase rights for three more of the widebody aircraft. After the delivery of the the A350-1000, Philippine Airlines' fleet now comprises of 82 aircraft. In addition to the -1000, the airline also operates 2 A350-900s.


Five more A350-1000s are expected to be delivered to Philippine Airlines during the year 2026, followed by three more in 2027.
