Philippine Airlines is expanding its flights to Seattle, going five-times weekly starting November 25.

Following the launch of its Manila-Seattle route in October 2024, Philippine Airlines will add two extra weekly flights to its current thrice-weekly schedule between Manila and Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Under the updated schedule from November 25, the Manila-Seattle flights (PR124/PR125) will depart every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Philippine Airlines stated the expansion of its flights to Seattle will help meet the growing travel demand to/from the US West Coast and beyond, as part of a long-term investment by the airline to develop business and tourist travel flows between the United States and the Philippines.

From Manila, the airline operates flights to eight destinations in the US and Canada. Vancouver and Toronto are the two destinations in Canada, while its US destinations include New York-JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Guam.

In addition, the increased flights will provide an additional cargo capacity boost of 40 tons per week on the route.

“Our decision to increase frequencies to Seattle highlights the importance of the U.S. market to the Philippine Airlines global network, and in particular the great value of Seattle as a gateway, not just to the Washington and Oregon areas, but to cities across the United States that we can now serve through our ongoing partnership with Alaska Airlines,” said Richard Nuttall, President, Philippine Airlines.

Announced in May, the frequent flyer partnership between Philippine Airlines and Seattle-based Alaska Airlines enables members of both airlines' frequent flyer programs to earn and redeem points across each others' networks.

Nuttall added: “We are focusing strongly on developing this growing market to help Americans plan their vacation trips to the Philippines and other Asian countries, to open up more opportunities for businesses to build up commercial activities, and for Filipino Americans to reunite more often with their families back in the home country.”

Philippine Airlines is the lone airline offering direct flights from Seattle to Manila. The airline uses Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 370 seats (42 Business and 328 Economy) on the route.
