Philippine Airlines has announced the introduction of the first of 18 refurbished A321ceos.
The Manila, Philippines-based airline announced it has accepted the first A321ceo to undergo refurbishment – registration RP-C9905 – at the Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) facility in the Philippine capital city.
According to Philippine Airlines, the reconfigured A321ceos will be used on flights to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Osaka, Jakarta, Bali, and Guam this year before the addition of more destinations within Asia next year.
The refurbishment program of all the 18 A321ceos is ongoing through 2027.
Philippine-made seats
Featuring Collins Pinnacle seats produced at Collins' facility in Batangas, Philippines, the refurbished A321ceos will have 194 seats – 12 Business and 184 Economy. Each seat will feature an Audio Video on Demand Inflight system for passengers to enjoy inflight entertainment options.

In Business Class, the seats are in a 2-2 layout with more space and privacy. Each seat will have an in-seat power supply through power sockets and a USB-A Port outlet. The seats will have multiple stowage and a mini cocktail table, along with a 13.3” embedded screen. The Business Class seat will have a pitch of 45” and a width of 22”.
The Economy seats feature a 3-3 layout with a 10.1” screen. Each seat will also feature a USB-A Port outlet. The seat will have a pitch of up to 31” and a width of 18.1”.

At the core of this undertaking is the dedicated craftsmanship showcased by Filipino workers in the manufacture of aircraft seats and the reconfiguration of the cabin in the Philippines,” said Philippine Airlines' Vice President for Marketing Alvin Miranda.
The non-refurbished A321ceos have 199 seats (12 Business and 187 Economy). Without an inflight entertainment system, inflight entertainment options can be accessed on passengers' devices through the myPAL Player (wireless entertainment).
